Register Directly with PhotoTownship

Join PhotoTownship directly by going to the home page and clicking on Join PhotoTownship at top right or the PhotoTownship logo at the middle right. Once on the Register page, all you need to do is enter your Username, Email, and Password:


Username: Select a Username which will be your Name or the Shop name. Ideally, matches your Username to your Shop name so it is easy for shoppers to remember. The username will also be part of your PhotoTownship URL (http://phototownship.com/username).


Username must be a single word and up to 20 characters only. It can have alphanumeric characters – abc123 and hyphen(-), no special symbols or spaces. You can use upper case, lower case or both. You can make changes or change your Username entirely after registration, from your Settings-> My Profile->Public Profile->Account Info.


Password: Passwords are case sensitive, and must be at least six characters. You can make changes or change your Username entirely after registration, from your Settings-> My Profile->Public Profile->Account Info.


Email: We will never share your email with the third parties. You will be asked to verify your email after registration.


Once you have completed the form, you will be asked to enter two words to confirm a real person is registering.


Please review our Terms of Use and then click Join Now.


A confirmation email will be sent to your registered Email Address. Please do check your junk or spam folder if you do not see the confirmation mail in you Inbox. Until you confirm, you will have limited access to certain features on PhotoTownship.


Register with Twitter or Facebook Accounts Top

Join PhotoTownship by simply using your current social site accounts and clicking Join PhotoTownship at top right on our Home Page or the Twitter or Facebook logos at the middle right of the PhotoTownship home page.


From Join PhotoTownship, you will be asked to click on the logo of the social site account you wish to use, and then a new window will appear. From the Twitter or Facebook logos, a new window will automatically appear.


The new window will ask you to allow the PhotoTownship application to connect to your account. Click on Allow.


You will then be redirected to the PhotoTownship Register page. Once there, complete your registration by entering your Username and Email:

NOTE:When logging in to PhotoTownship in the future, you must login using your Twitter or Facebook accounts by clicking on the correct logo when prompted by ‘Login / Register with any of these accounts’.


Complete your Profile Top

Once you are registered on PhotoTownship you can Complete your Profile. Simply click on Complete your Profile on the landing page after registration.


You can also access your Profile settings by clicking on your Username at the upper right of the home page and selecting Settings from the click down menu. Once on your User Home Page, click on Public Profile to Complete your Profile.


On the Public Profile page, you will be required to enter your Name and Address, and requested to enter your Date of Birth and Gender. Based on your entered information, Google Map will show your Location visually.


You will also be requested to enter a few words About Me. Describe yourself, the work you do, your hobbies, education etc. You can also write about how you came up with the idea for the art you are creating and selling on PhotoTownship.


We recommend that you provide a lot of accurate and fun data. This will increase your credibility and help people find, recognize and relate to you and your shop.


Click Save when completed. In the future, you will be able add, edit or change the information related to your Public Profile, Account Info and Contact/Websites from your Settings-> My Profile->Public Profile.


Open your Shop Top

Setting up a Shop is easy. Simply enter the shop details into the fields required, and our system automatically creates the shop. If you are unsure if PhotoTownship is the right place for you, please check out the Sell on PhotoTownship page.


Before you get started you will need the following details to enter into the fields:


PayPal Account. Transactions will take place through Paypal, and a Paypal account id is also necessary as a verification of the user. In case you do not have one, you will be required to open an account on Paypal.com.


Images. Your shop will require a Shop Banner (980 pixels wide x 90 pixels high) and an optional Shop Background image. You can upload your own background image. You can upload JPG, GIF and PNG file formats, image must be smaller than 2mb.


Messages. You will be asked to provide two automated messages to your Buyers: A Shop Welcome Note to be posted on the shop home page, and an email Note to Buyers after purchasing.


Policies. You will be asked to provide Shipping Policy, Payment Policy, Return and Exchange Policy, and a General Shop Policy Required.


Get started

Once you are registered on PhotoTownship you can become a Seller. Simply click on Open your Shop on the landing page after Registration or go here.


You will be first required to authenticate your PayPal account. If you click Authenticate and Open Shop Now your Shop items will be live to the users. If you choose Open Shop Now (Authenticate Later), you will be able to set up your shop but not make it live.


Once you have Opened your Shop, click on Configure your Shop on the next landing page. You can also access your Shop settings by clicking on your Username at the upper right and selecting Settings from the click down menu.


Once on your User Home Page, follow the My Shop sections on the left side of the page to create your shop. Click on each of the following and enter the text or upload images as requested:


1) Shop Profile. Enter the required text for the Shop Profile including, Shop Title, Name, Shop Welcome Note, Note to Buyers, and your general Shop Policy, and click Save.


2) Shop Design. Upload the Shop Banner and Shop Background. You can Preview Banner and/or Preview Background before clicking Save.


3) Shop Segment. Create a new segment for your Shop, and click Submit. This is main segment, all your items can be found here. You will not be able to change or remove this main segment.


4) Shipping Policy. Enter your shop’s general Shipping Policy, and click Save. You may provide general information about your shipping methods, insurance, international customs, etc, which will help customers make purchase decisions. If you are providing Digital Art, you can simply enter “All of my items are digital art and can be downloaded from your PhotoTownship account”.


5) Payment Details. Verify your PayPal email address and enter your shop’s Payment and Refund and Exchange Policies, and click Save. You can set your rules and regulations regarding the payment, taxes, cancellation, refund and exchange, eligible items, damages, etc.


6) Shop Policies. You can review and edit all of your shop policies, and click Save when done.


7) Vacation Mode. This will allow you to put your shop on hold when you want to go on Vacation. Buyers will be made aware about your status. You will also be able to enter a Vacation Announcement and Auto-Reply Message.


8) Web Analytics. You can sign up for Google Analytics for your shop. Google Analytics is a free service that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to your shop. To do this, follow the Activating Google Analytics steps listed on the Web Analytics page, and then entering your Google Analytics Tracking Code to complete.


9) View Shop. Preview your shop as it will appear to Buyers. You can view your shop at any time. After viewing the shop, if you wish to make changes, click on your Username at the upper right and selecting Settings from the click down menu. Once on the User Home Page, select the My Shop section you wish to edit from the left-side margin.


List an Item Top

Once you have opened a Shop you can list an unlimited number of Items to sell. There is no listing fee. From the User admin Home Page, click on Add Item, and follow these steps:


1) Choose whether your item is Customizable or Non-Customizable. Select Customizable, if you customize your art or product using Buyer’s photos. Select Non-Customizable if you sell photo related items. (If your Item is Non-Customizable, ignore Steps 2, 5, and 8 below.)


2) Choose whether your item is Digital Photo Art or Photo Product. Select Digital Photo Art if your Item is digital and can be delivered as an electronic file. Select Photo Product if your Item is a physical object and will be delivered through slowmail. (Ignore this step if your Item is Non-Customizable. If your Item is a Photo Product, ignore Steps 2, 5, and 8 below.)


3) Enter Item Name and Item Description. In Item Description, answer the question “What do/did you use in creating this item?”. Click Next when done.


4) Upload images for the Item. You may upload JPG, GIF and PNG file formats, image must be smaller then 2mb. You must upload images at least 448 pixels wide, or they will appear blurry. Images will appear in square format. If uploaded images are not square, we will automatically resize to fit the square image. Repeat the upload process for each image. You will be able to upload up to 5 images per Item. Click Next when done.


5) Enter Item Requirements. This is where you can direct buyers on the images and text that the Item requires.


Images. Write general directions for images required in the General Note box. Select the number of images needed and for each image requested, add Image Title and Image Description (or specific requirements).


Text. If you need any text for customized item, enable the Comment Box and add an explanatory note to buyers regarding text requirements. (Ignore this step if your item Non-Customizable).


Click Next when done.


6) Organize your Item by choosing or adding Tags and Segments that describe your item. Inappropriate and/or inaccurate tags may be removed by PhotoTownship. Click Next when done.


7) Enter Production Time and Base Pricing. You also have the option to allow for Additional Subjects and Reviewing, and enter the cost for each. Click Next when done.


8) Select and confirm your Printing Partner. Give your customers the option to print your digital art on canvas and other products. You will receive a 5% commission on all Partner products sold via your Shop. (Ignore this step if your Item is a Photo Product.) Click Next when done or Skip if you do not want to sell printed products.


9) Review your Item and post by selecting Activate Now or Activate Later.


Your item will be live and ready for sale when you click Activate Now. By clicking Activate Later your item will not be made live and will be under My Items >> Inactive Items.
